The Village of Weston offers a variety of financial assistance for businesses looking to locate in our community. Assistance ranges from grants to loans to industrial revenue bonds. The Village of Weston works closely with the local Chamber of Commerce and the State of Wisconsin to customize a financing package that fits the individual needs of your business.

Tax Incremental Financing Options

The Village of Weston is home to two tax incremental financing districts with two distinct purposes.

Weston TID #1 is an economic development district aimed at growing the community by providing incentives to employers with better than average wages. TID#1 is home to light manufacturing and the medical industry. Business assistance options in TID#1 include:

  • Community Development Authority Bond Infrastructure Grants (with accompanying developer letter of credit)

  • Landscape & Site Preparation Grants

  • Utility (including Telecommunication) Grants

  • Relocation Grants

    Weston TID#2 is a redevelopment district in the heart of the community's retail district. The district was created to energize a lifestyle retail center through the construction of Class A building and attractive landscaping; Business assistance options in TID#2 include:

  • Landscaping Grants

  • Site Preparation Grants

  • Architectural Rennovation Grants

    Weston's Revolving Loan Fund (RLF)

    The Weston Revolving Loan Fund provides financial assitance for new and established businesses in Weston. The RLF operates under the authroity of the WI Department of Commerce and is administered by the local Chamber of Commerce. The funds provide an accessible source of financing for projects that would cretae or retain jobs in the Village of Weston, increase incomes, expand the local tax base, and leverage private investments.

    Village of Weston Industrial Revenue Bonds

    Industrial Revenue Bonds are a lending device where proceeds are to loaned to private persons or to businesses to finance capital investment projects. The Village of Weston are authorized under WI State Statutes to issue IRBs to major projects that emphasize job creation and economic vitality. Funding is available at an affordable rate and can be retroactive up to three years.
